Residential Interior Design Project | Moor Park, Hertfordshire

This residential interior design project in Moor Park, Hertfordshire focused on transforming an existing family home through a carefully curated redesign of its key living spaces. The client approached Family House Design with the intention of refreshing the interiors while respecting the character of the property and enhancing everyday functionality.

The scope of works included the living room, playroom, master bedroom, children’s bedrooms, and home study. Rather than a full structural refurbishment, the project centred on a refined redecoration, the introduction of new furniture, and the design of bespoke joinery elements, tailored specifically to the needs of the household.

Our design approach balanced timeless elegance with practical family living. Each space was thoughtfully considered to improve flow, storage, and comfort, while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic throughout the home. Custom-made joinery played a key role in the project, allowing us to maximise storage, frame architectural features, and introduce detailing that elevates the interiors beyond off-the-shelf solutions.

The living areas were designed to feel warm and inviting, with layered textures, neutral tones, and carefully selected finishes. Children’s bedrooms and the playroom were approached with flexibility in mind, creating spaces that can evolve as the family grows. The master bedroom was reimagined as a calm, hotel-inspired retreat, while the study was designed to support focused work without compromising on style.

This Moor Park interior design project is a strong example of how bespoke interior design, thoughtful redecoration, and custom joinery can completely transform an existing home—enhancing both its aesthetic value and day-to-day usability.
